This year, we were blessed again with perfect weather and amazing support at the golf outing. From a fundraising standpoint, we had our most successful outing to date! Thank you so much to our sponsors, golfers, and volunteers for the your part in supporting God’s work of rescue and redemption through One Saved in the Philippines!
We look forward to seeing you all next year and continuing to grow so that more children can be saved through this ministry!
This video put out by IJM truly captures the heart of what we are stepping into in The Philippines with online sexual exploitation. IJM does rescue but they need partners when it comes to aftercare. That’s where we come in. This video does a great job of illustrating the redemptive power of aftercare in the healing and restoration of children from awful situations. Check it out!
Amy raced around the top of Michigan this past weekend, raising $1,075 for One Saved and beating her goal pace – completing the marathon in an impressive 4 hours, 2 minutes! Thank you, Amy, for running the race God has marked out for you so fervently.
On May 27th Amy Hayes will be running a marathon for trafficked children in the Philippines. Amy will be powering through a ful 26.2 miles to bring help and healing to victims of child sex trafficking in The Philippines. She is raising money through sponsorships. Click the “Donate” button and put “Amy” in the memo line to encourage her efforts alongside One Saved.
“The Philippines has become the global epicenter of the livestream sexual abuse trade…” according to UNICEF. They also reported an increase in “the number of criminal cases involving livestream child abuse in the Philippines from 57 in 2013, to 89 in 2014, to 167 in 2015.” Here is an informative introductory video by IJM to help you understand more about this growing & evil problem. This is what we are stepping into as an organization. We partner with IJM who does the rescue and prosecution aspect while we provide aftercare and healing.

What a wonderful day we had for the golf outing this year! We had 92 golfers this year and yet pace of play was not affected much. The silent auction and raffle were more successful than any previous year. And the sponsorship items for the house on hole #16 had an amazing response! We’re so thankful to all the volunteers and golfers who came out and gave of their time, talents, and treasure for the kingdom of God through the ministry of One Saved. This year we raised more than any previous year and we’re so encouraged as we approach the opening of our first aftercare home. Stay tuned for updates on the progress of Rahab’s House.
We are so grateful to God for His continued faithfulness at our golf outings. We had 71 golfers this year, and the event itself went more smoothly than ever before. God never ceases to amaze us…this was our fourth year of beautiful weather (75 degrees!). Praise Him. He also provided 8 new business sponsors for the event – making our total number of sponsors 19, up from the previous year.
Thank you again to each volunteer! This has become more than just a fundraiser, but a highlight of the year for all of us in the One Saved Family.
Say what you will about any aspect of the United States government. But today I am praising God for the fact that our government officials seek to enforce the law when it comes to child sex trafficking. The challenge of sex trafficking in many countries is that the government and/or police are corrupt and impossible to deal with. But here, the first person from West Michigan to be federally prosecuted for child sex trafficking was convicted yesterday (more…)
When God’s people were enslaved in Egypt, He rescued them and brought them out. Exodus records His heart for His captive people:
“Then the Lord said, “I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters. I know their sufferings, and I have come down to deliver them (more…)
As we see and hear about the devastation that has occurred in the Philippines this past week from Typhoon Haiyan, it is a sobering reminder of a few things. (more…)
